Product Description
Gas Fired CHP Power Plant with 2 x CAT 1.2 MW / 50Hz Generators – 2013
A complete, well-maintained Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, built in 2013 by the local CAT dealer, equipped with two CAT G3516C gas engine-driven generators and integrated heat recovery systems for hot water production.
The plant was in operation until mid-2016 and remains installed and operational. The heat recovery system consists of two circuits: one for the engine jacket water and the second stage of the charge air cooler, and another for the first stage of the charge air cooler and exhaust gas heat recovery. The exhaust gas tubular heat exchangers are equipped with a bypass option.
The engines have accumulated only 16,000 and 19,000 operating hours, respectively. They have been regularly serviced by the local CAT dealer according to the maintenance manual, with no major breakdowns reported.
The engine control system is a standard CAT model with Siemens logic, while the switchgears and step-up transformers are manufactured by Schneider. The building includes a separate switchgear room and a liquid storage room. It is a lightweight steel-structure construction with sandwich panel cladding, and the engine room is fitted with noise insulation material.
