This yeast autolyzer by Alfa Laval has a capacity of 80 hl/h. The yeast-containing solution is heated in a heat exchanger to 80 °C and held in that temperature for 30 seconds. Cooling of the outgoing yeast solution takes place in the regenerative section of the heat exchanger and the outlet temperature is about 26 °C. At the outlet the yeast is completely autolyzed and ready to be disposed. The equipment is in very good condition.
