Gas Generating Sets CAT 2 × 1,500 kW / 50 Hz, Zero Hours with BOP – 2022
This natural gas-fired power plant consists of two CAT CG170-16 generating sets, installed in 2022 but never commissioned due to a lack of gas supply. As a result, the engines have zero operating hours.
The CAT CG170-16 units are turbocharged, water-cooled, high-efficiency gas engines equipped with the CAT TEM control system. Each engine is coupled to a 50 Hz Leroy Somer synchronous alternator.
The balance of plant (BOP) includes:
CAT TEM control panels
400 V switch breakers
Exhaust gas mufflers
Engine cooling system with radiators
