Biomass CHP Boiler Plant 5.4 MW Thermal and 995 kWe Turbine Capacity
Very little operated, complete biomass CHP boiler plant with a 9.5 MW bubbling fluidized bed boiler (BFB) designed for wood based fuels combined with a back pressure steam turbine and a heat exchanger to produce hot water from back pressure steam.
Plant was made by Estonian Filter Solutions company, who is very experienced in steam boiler plant engineering and EPC contracting company. BFP steam boiler was delivered by Vapor Boilers Finland, steam turbine is made by Indian Triveni Turbines combined with ABB delivered generator and controls. Other main equipment suppliers are KSB for pumps, conveyors from Technobalt AS, rotary airlock valves from Rotolok UK. Power plant was commissioned in 2013 and operated in partial load till 2015. Plant operation program system is made by Filter Solution, it is installed in PCs and contains typical visual process screens. Control room is located in remotely from the plant. Local process controllers are Siemens S-700 series PLCs, except ORC Turbine which has also Honeywell controllers
Delivery includes complete technological system from fuel receiving station to outgoing 400 kV switch breaker in electrical system and to hot water pumps for delivering thermal energy out from the plant. Metal frame building with sandwich type panels and building technology is also a part of delivery
