Product Description
Hot Water Boiler Plant Schmid 2400 kWth with moving step-grate
This Schmid boiler features a durable, electronically controlled, water-cooled moving grate, designed to burn a wide range of fuels from wood pellets to wood chips and waste wood. Installed in 2012, the plant operated on wood pellets until December 2022.
It is a complete system in good condition, housed in a concrete-element building, with two large pellet silos and a hot water accumulator tank for heat load balancing. These auxiliary components are optionally available to interested buyers.
The boiler is equipped with load-controlled primary and secondary combustion air fans, as well as a speed-controlled exhaust gas fan, ensuring high combustion efficiency and low electrical power consumption. The two-stage combustion design minimizes NOx emissions.
Its robust triple-layered ceramic and steel combustion chamber incorporates flexible expansion joints, allowing thermal expansion and contraction, thereby extending furnace life. The boiler also features automatic compressed-air soot blowers and an automatic ash removal system.
Combustion is managed by a control system with lambda sensors, which continuously monitor performance to maintain optimal efficiency. Operation is handled through the Schmid Control System with a local touch-screen interface, which can be connected to a remote PC for unattended operation.
